Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant to join our Atmospheric Sciences practice in Fredericton, NB. You will support environmental data analysis, reporting, laboratory testing, and field activities related to air quality across Atlantic Canada.

No direct experience is required; training is provided. You will work with a team of air quality scientists and engineers, travel occasionally, and develop technical writing and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Good quantitative and computer skills with Microsoft Office software.
• Willingness and ability to perform hands‑on field work and travel within Atlantic provinces.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and interpret analytical data; prepare tables, figures, and graphs using Excel.
• Author technical air quality reports and documents.
• Assist in health and safety plans and work plans development.
• Perform laboratory tasks and basic lab analysis.
• Set up and maintain air quality and environmental monitoring equipment in the field.
• Support field program logistics including equipment and shipments.
• Communicate effectively with clients, laboratories, couriers, suppliers, and contractors.
