Contract | Hybrid - Toronto, Canada

We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Platform Engineer to join our team supporting enterprise data and AI services on Microsoft Azure. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in cloud platforms who are looking to grow their skills in automation, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and AI / ML tooling.

You will work closely with senior engineers, developers, and business teams to help deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with modern cloud-native tools and gain exposure to AI technologies in a highly collaborative, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

Support the delivery and maintenance of Azure-based platforms and AI services

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, network, security) to implement infrastructure that aligns with organizational standards

Assist in developing automation scripts and infrastructure templates using Terraform and Python

Learn and contribute to building CI / CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure provisioning and application deployment

Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure services, connectivity, DNS, and security groups

Help manage access controls, authentication, and secrets management within the Azure environment

Learn to work with APIs, webhooks, and SDKs to integrate cloud services with business applications

Follow internal governance and compliance processes for deploying secure and auditable solutions

What You’ll Bring

1-3 years of experience in a cloud or DevOps engineering role (Azure preferred)

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep

Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

Exposure to cloud concepts such as networking (DNS, NSGs), RBAC, and data protection

Some hands-on experience using CI / CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar

A strong interest in AI / ML technologies and willingness to learn about MLOps and AIOps

Understanding of API / webhook integration is a plus

Willingness to ask questions, solve problems, and grow within a fast-paced agile team

Bonus if You Have

Exposure to Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, or ML Studio)

Basic understanding of PKI, certificates, and secure key management

Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services
