Job description

Our client is looking for a Junior AI Engineer with Python experience to develop RL agents for water treatment related applications.

This role is 100% remote within Canada.

Nice to have:

• 3+ years' experience as an AI Engineer developing with Reinforcement Learning (RL) agent solutions or developing solutions with Large Language Models (LLM) or Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• 3+ years' experience developing with Python.
• Experience with NumPy library.
• Experience with Torch or other gradient tracking tensor math libraries.
• 2+ years' experience with IoT and Time series data manipulation.
• 2+ years' experience with AWS cloud and/or Docker.
• 2+ years' experience with MLOps.
• Experience using AI for industrial process control.
• Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development.

Qualifications:

• BSc or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop AI systems and tools for use in our software offerings.
• Research and design new solutions to AI/ML/DS problems.
• Share knowledge of AI research with a cross-functional team including software development, engineering, and business experts.
• Learn domain knowledge as needed and work with SMEs to define high-quality problem statements.
• Manage the AI development lifecycle, including data preparation, exploratory data analysis, model development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed, remote team across various time zones.
