Salary: Up to $42K
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of various informational reports;
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner;
Preparation of various bank deposits;
Preparation of client invoices;
Review and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports;
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation;
Process client/vendor payments: EFTs, online bill payments, wire transfers & manual cheques;
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues;
Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, maintaining financial databases;
Assist with other tasks and projects as they arise; and
Provide backup for other members in the Accounting Department.
Qualifications
1-2+ years experience in clerical accounting required;
Post-secondary education in accounting would be an asset;
Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures;
Strong numeric and data entry skills;
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Soluno experience would be an asset;
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
High level of interpersonal skills; and
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
