Your Day-to-Day | Ngā mahi o ia rā:
  • Collaborate with the Private Enterprise compliance team to support New Zealand’s privately-owned businesses in meeting their goals.
  • Assist in preparing annual accounts and tax returns, or monthly management work, initially focusing on smaller and more straightforward clients (including data entry, spreadsheet work, drafting accounts, etc.).
  • Respond to client queries and support the compliance team in managing client relationships concerning income tax, GST, and other indirect taxes.
  • Attend in-house or external training to enhance your knowledge and proficiency in using professional accounting software.
  • Apply your learning directly to practical challenges, gaining hands-on experience.
  • Provide insightful financial solutions and advice to help businesses thrive.
  • Balance your work commitments with part-time study as you progress toward becoming a Chartered Accountant.
  • Embrace opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the firm.
  • Assist other team members with administrative tasks as needed.

  • A recent high school graduate or first-year student pursuing Accounting at a university, tertiary institution, or through the CAANZ CA Fundamentals pathway, with plans to obtain a Chartered Accountant (CA) professional qualification upon completion of their studies.
  • This is real hands-on experience learning accounting in the real world, which will complement your studies
  • The opportunity to advance your career at a leading international firm
  • A paid position to support yourself whilst studying

  • A permanent, full-time role with base office hours of 37.5 hours per week, A paid position to support yourself whilst studying
  • Flexibility to use up to 7.5 hours of unpaid study leave per week to attend your tertiary classes and paid study leave to prepare for exams and internal assessments
  • Ability to take up to five papers per year so that students can achieve a good balance between work, study and social time. Therefore, take a little longer to finish your degree
  • Support, equivalent to the above, for those pursuing a postgraduate CA professional qualification to become a Chartered Accountant.
