About The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position is responsible for supporting the accounting function across the organization's property portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational support.

Responsibilities
  • Process and post monthly tenant payments, maintaining accurate account records
  • Reconcile bank statements and property tax payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare month-end financial reports and contribute to year-end audit preparations
  • Assist the property management team with budgeting, forecasts, and tracking key metrics
  • Maintain ledgers, security deposit accounts, and internal tracking systems for recurring items and reports
  • Collaborate with colleagues across accounting and property management teams to support operational and ad-hoc projects
  • Apply analytical skills to review financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field; CPA candidacy is an asset
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, commercial property, or related sectors
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to ad-hoc requests or projects
