Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Junior Accountant will work closely with senior accounting staff to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Duties

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Perform account reconciliation, including bank reconciliation and account analysis, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports by gathering data and performing necessary calculations.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online Advanced for bookkeeping tasks and financial reporting.
• Participate in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support during audits.
• Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
• Contribute to budgeting activities by providing input on financial forecasts and tracking expenditures.
• Collaborate with team members on various financial projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year accounting program or relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online Advanced is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis and reconciliation.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
