Junior Accountant to join our team!

Kins Farm Market's success depends on the knowledge, experience, and motivation of the people who work for us. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Also, performs analyzing, recording transactions effectively and efficiently to be able to finish the financial reporting in a timely manner with accuracy; overviews AP, AR, and inventory are recorded and reported properly; assists with Great Plains implementation processing; prepares forecasts; provides holiday relief; and other duties as assigned.

As a Junior Accountant, you will:

• Meet accounting and financial objectives by performing activities such as reviewing store's monthly bank reconciliations, reconciling stores' A/P with inter-company, maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, fixed asset schedule, filing taxes, preparing month-end journal entries, financial statements, management reports, year-end adjustments, and supporting store budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain good records keeping and filing systems, and licensee records.
• Provide vacation backup for other team members.
• Assist with other accounting duties as assigned.

Help check financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating data collection, and preparing reports. Participate in maintaining accounting controls and assist other departments in interpreting accounting policies. Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls and supporting the monthly financial close process. Support payroll calculations, participate in ERP implementation, and assist in audit preparations. Proactively recommend changes and ensure policy compliance.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum 1 year experience in bookkeeping, accounting, administration, or similar role. Diploma in Accounting. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills. Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and multitask across projects. Establish credibility through communication, knowledge, and professionalism.
