Job summary

A Canadian jewelry company in Regina is seeking a Junior Accountant to support finance operations. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with financial reports, and ensuring accurate accounting records. Qualifications

Hillberg & Berk, a Canadian owned jewelry company, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team! Located in Regina or Victoria, this role will ensure that all transactions are processed with efficiency and quality according to predefined standards, as well as support with many of the month-end close functions. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance & DC, the Junior Accountant is a valuable part of the team, supporting the finance operations, gaining experience under the guidance of senior team members, and ensuring the accounting records are completed accurately and on time. What can you expect in the role? Champion the Hillberg & Berk culture by embodying company values and fostering exceptional internal and external client experiences. Responsible for processing accounts payable (vendors, employee expenses, and credit card transactions) and accounts receivable (deposits and bank receipts across our multiple sales channels)Posting inventory receipts and managing prepaid inventory.Month-end reporting as relates to A/R and A/P, and supporting cross functional teams with vendor payment schedulesRecording and reconciling retail cash depositsAssist Finance Team with financial reporting and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders, as needed What do you need to apply? Preferably a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or working towardsEntry level experience with accounting, accounts receivables and bookkeepingGood knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and particularly in MS ExcelPreferably knowledge of Fulfil or similar accounting system.
