A leading accounting firm in central Alberta seeks a Junior Accountant to provide excellent service to clients. The role entails compilation and tax engagements, preparation of financial statements, and managing tax compliance. Candidates should have a Business Administration Diploma with an accounting major and strong communication skills. We need to add a junior accountant to our team of dedicated staff. We are looking for a self-motivated team player with experience in public practice, and an interest in pursuing a career in client service. The position is for in-person work at our Red Deer or Didsbury, AB office.
Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication and technical skills, knowledge of CaseWare, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office and the ability to manage a client growing workload. Candidates with prior public practice accounting experience are preferred.

The expected salary for this position is $40,000-$55,000 per year for 2,000 hours and is based on the applicant’s skills and experience.
Employee benefits are available after a three-month probation period. Benefits include Alberta Blue Cross, health spending account and life insurance.
