A community organization in Kamloops is seeking a Junior Accountant to support their Finance Department. Responsibilities include processing transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with financial reports. The Junior Accountant provides support to the Finance Department by performing clerical and accounting duties, including data entry, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processing, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting audit and tax filing processes (95%).
Other Duties as required (5%).
Assist with budget tracking and expense monitoring. Responsible for accurate financial data entry and reporting.
Assist in the orientation of new staff regarding financial procedures.
Normal Day shifts - 7 hours. Non-normal shifts may be required.
Starting at $22.59 - $33.22 per hour, depending on education and experience.
