Job description

Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America-based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our Calgary, AB office.

If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.

Responsibilities:

1. Job set up and billing
2. Assist with monthly project billing
3. Assist in job openings per the PO specifications
4. Accounts payable
5. Vendor setup according to corporate guidelines
6. Monitoring mailboxes for invoices
7. Ensure appropriate approvals for invoices
8. Matching PO to invoices and shipping documents
9. Invoice posting and filing
10. Accounts payable accruals
11. Reconciliation of company credit cards
12. Reconciliation of expense reports
13. Monthly GST filing and payment
14. Payroll
15. Timesheet entry
16. Equipment time entry
17. Time entry to Open Air
18. General Ledger
19. Journal entries entry
20. Scanning and uploading journal entries
21. Bank reconciliations

Qualifications:

1. University or college courses in accounting
2. Working towards CPA designation
3. 1 or more years related industry and project accounting experience in North America.

Requirements:

1. Experience with JDE or Eclipse is considered an asset
2. Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
3. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
4. Proactive and demonstrate initiative in identifying and taking on projects and duties
5. Pride in work and attention to detail and accuracy are essential
