Job description

A Canadian division of a global solutions provider is looking for a driven and detail-focusedJunior Accountantto support its growing finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to develop their accounting skills in a project-driven, operations-focused environment. If you’re interested in gaining end-to-end exposure in transactional accounting, payroll, and financial operations, this role offers both learning and impact.

About the Role
Working closely with finance and project teams, you will manage core transactional accounting tasks across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory. You’ll also support monthly close procedures and contribute to audit readiness efforts, helping ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily accounting tasks including order validation, inventory entries, and revenue recognition
  • Reconcile inventory receipts and coordinate with project managers for accuracy
  • Prepare and issue client invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Oversee vendor payments and accounts payable coding
  • Assist with product cost setup and perform cost analysis
  • Support accounts receivable and assist with collection activities
  • Process payroll and respond to payroll-related inquiries
  • Help track construction work-in-progress for financial reporting
  • Perform reconciliations for AR, AP, and inventory accounts
  • Conduct quarterly AR and AP confirmations
  • Contribute to the month-end close and maintain organized records for audits

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Sound knowledge of transactional accounting and reconciliation processes
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups
  • Clear and professional written communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a structured environment
  • Awareness of internal audit processes and documentation standards
