Overview

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business with contractors both in-store and over the phone. You will be the first impression of Herman’s Building Centres, providing a world-class customer experience and building lasting customer relationships. You will handle the sales process from start to finish and should be comfortable closing deals both over the phone and in person.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maximize each sale through inbound and outbound contact strategies, including walk-in clients, our website, business partners, marketing campaigns, email requests, and other methods.
  • Qualify prospects, conduct needs analysis, and follow up to ensure they purchase products and services that meet their needs.
  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries.
  • Generate leads through cold-calling contractors and related methods.
  • Achieve and surpass sales goals, including direct and cross-sell opportunities.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to prospect, qualify, and close sales effectively.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of B2B sales experience; experience with contractors is a strong asset.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Comfortable meeting and exceeding monthly quotas.
  • Proficient organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, confidence, and a desire to excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good general computer skills.
  • Previous telephone sales experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This role requires prospecting, including cold calling.
