LTL Contracting Ltd. is looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our crew! As a Jr. Supervisor/Mobile Rock Crushing Plant Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a mobile crushing plant, ensuring high-quality aggregate production. This role involves operating and maintaining crushing equipment, adjusting settings, troubleshooting issues, and following all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Equipment Operation & Production
- Operate and control mobile rock crushing equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and related machinery.
- Monitor and adjust settings to optimize production efficiency and maintain product specifications.
- Ensure continuous material flow and minimize downtime by troubleshooting and making necessary adjustments.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe environment for yourself and your team.
- Identify, report, and mitigate potential safety hazards and operational risks.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and work areas.
Quality Control & Testing
- Monitor material specifications and perform routine inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct sampling and testing of materials as per required specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to crushing equipment to maintain consistency in product output.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or required repairs to management.
Material Handling & Coordination
- Oversee the loading, unloading, and stockpiling of materials efficiently.
- Work closely with the site superintendent, maintenance team, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate productivity updates and any operational issues to the Superintendent.
Recordkeeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate daily logs, including production reports, maintenance records, and incident documentation.
- Provide clear, detailed reports to management on equipment performance and site operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience operating mobile rock crushing plants or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of crushing plant operations, equipment functions, and maintenance procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a heavy equipment environment.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different job sites.
