Job Description

As a Software Developer in the Network Services Platform team, you will work to provide secure and efficient platform services in the areas of Kubernetes platform, security, authentication, messaging, and databases in a cloud-native environment. You will be responsible for providing the best technologies available in those areas. You will continuously analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and implement them. Additionally, you will mentor members of the R&D community to adopt and utilize these technologies.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance our product offerings.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to define requirements for new features.
  • Design and implement new features.
  • Work within a team-based Agile environment.
  • Coordinate with Nokia Support Teams to resolve field-reported issues.
Key Skills And Experience
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Linux, Docker, Vagrant, Git, GitLab, Gradle, Jenkins; proficiency in Java, Go, Python, Bash, Ansible, C, C++.
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and integrating new technologies with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in Cloud Native principles, design patterns, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Openshift, GKE, Kubernetes, virtualization, containerization, and orchestration tools like OpenStack, Docker, Helm.
  • Knowledge of security concepts such as PKI, Certificates, TLS, and Authentication.
