We are currently looking to fill the position of Junior Property Manager located at our Head Office in London, Ontario.

Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Junior Property Manager will assist in managing a small portfolio of rental properties, handling tenant inquiries, and supporting the property management team, while gaining experience in all aspects of residential property management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE

  1. Receive and respond to current and potential customer inquiries, via phone, email, in-person appointments.
  2. Meet regularly with Property Managers - escalating any customer concerns for resolution/response and to ensure they are continuously learning the entirety of what it means to be a PM and set goals for future succession.
  3. Assist Property Managers with event planning and resident retention.
  4. Engage with vendors to provide quotes for pre-approved work (Landscaping etc.).
  5. Issuing and managing purchase orders in Sage.
  6. Assist PMs with supply deliveries.
  7. Provide backup/coverage where needed for RM coverage, PM vacation/sick time.
  8. Conduct in-suite, vacant unit, and regular building and grounds inspections to ensure curb appeal, signage and buildings meet presentation standards.
  9. Respond to after business hours & weekend emergency calls, as needed.
  10. Other assignments within the parameter of the scope of the Property Manager position.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  1. Experience in residential property management including knowledge of property administrative, maintenance and customer service practices.
  2. Knowledge of various legislations, codes and regulations as it relates to residential building property management.
  3. Strong customer service orientation and delivery.
  4. Good written and oral communication skills.
  5. Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  6. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good supervisory skills.
  8. Ability to meet deadlines.
