Quality, efficiency, and innovation are our strengths. Join our dedicated team in Delta, BC, as a Junior Production Planning and Control specialist.

Code : MMAP / 23256

Salary : $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

This position reports to the Manager of Production Planning and Control (PPC). The main task is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work information and materials within the shop environment for jet engine overhaul and repair. Responsibilities include sequencing, prioritizing, and monitoring production activities, creating reports and KPI data, inputting and outputting data from ERP systems, organizing and chairing production meetings, and supporting improvement initiatives. This junior role includes training and development opportunities.

Your Tasks :

  • Serve as the point of contact for a production team consisting of a Team Lead and 10-15 technicians.
  • Plan and coordinate production activities within your work area and collaborate with senior PPC Coordinators on activities across multiple areas.
  • Monitor maintenance progress and initiate recovery plans as needed.
  • Prepare and communicate progress and status reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and support departments such as Supply Chain and Engineering to meet production targets.
  • Identify work-stop or on-hold situations and consult with senior PPC Coordinators for recovery plans or revised timelines.
  • Escalate process concerns to management and suggest solutions.
  • Participate in process improvement projects, including Lean Management and CIP.
  • Develop your skills as a Production Control Coordinator.

Our Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related diploma.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
  • Internship experience in Aviation Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO), or Manufacturing is an asset.
  • Training in Project Management, LEAN Management, or CIP is an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic and SharePoint.
