Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair building equipment to maximize asset life.

This full-time, on-site role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, and requires Grade 12, a clean Driver's abstract, basic computer skills, and ability to obtain RAIC security clearance and AVOP.

Candidates should be a team player with good communication skills; union salary range applies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a clear driver's abstract.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Must obtain and maintain RAIC security clearance and AVOP.
• Valid G driver's license.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of building equipment, including belts and filters and inspections.
• Equipment inspections; assisting mechanics; escorting contractors.
• Assist other classifications; light duties such as cleaning and garbage removal.
• Installation of safety barricades; other maintenance duties as assigned.

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic located in Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair all building equipment within the Airport and grounds to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Work shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following: General maintenance of building related equipment, maintenance to include but not limited to belts changes and filter changes, minor adjustments, and inspections.
• Equipment inspectionsAssisting mechanics, escorting contractors.
• Assist other classifications as requiredPerform light duties such as sweeping, general cleaning, garbage removal.
• Installation of safety barricadesAll other maintenance duties as assigned
