Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment for optimum life span.

The role requires a Grade 12 diploma, a valid G license, and the ability to obtain RAIC security clearance and AVOP. On-site, Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, with union-based salary considerations.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a clear drivers abstract.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to apply for, obtain and maintain necessary security clearance (RAIC) including transportation security clearance.
• Must be able to apply for, obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators’ Permit (AVOP).
• Valid G driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of building related equipment, including belts and filters changes, minor adjustments and inspections.
• Equipment inspections.
• Assisting mechanics, escorting contractors.
• Assist other classifications as required.
• Perform light duties such as sweeping, general cleaning, garbage removal.
• Installation of safety barricades.
• All other maintenance duties as assigned.

ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
