Position: Jr/Int. IT Financial Analyst to develop PowerBI Dashboards and perform in depth analysis for a major insurance client - 916

Duration: 1 year with possible extension/conversion to FT

Must Haves:

1. 3+ years as a Financial Analyst performing financial reporting, accounting, business intelligence, data visualization
2. Financial forecasting, analyzing trends
3. 3+ years exp with Power BI, Power Query, DAX formulas, Excel.
4. Developing and maintaining dashboards
5. Advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables, Macros)

Nice to Haves:

1. Insurance exp
2. Experience with financial ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), and MS Sharepoint is a plus.
3. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, Power BI certification) is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze IT financial expense reports around large purchase orders, staff augmentation, and consulting spend, amongst other items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint
3. Validate and perform data cleansing tasks as necessary
4. Conduct detailed trending, variance analysis and provide insights to management on IT expense management performance.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and improve reporting processes.
6. Assist in monthly reporting update processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
7. Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing relevant financial analysis and insights.
8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the financial reporting function.
9. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and dashboards.
