About the position:

Reporting to the Principal and/or their delegate, and collaborating with teachers and resource teachers, you will be responsible for:

• Creating a supportive learning environment to help students meet their learning goals
• Understanding the diverse needs of all student groups
• Using appropriate study materials and resources that promote active learning and motivation
• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Planning course materials and activities
• Building trusting relationships with students, parents, and staff

Who we are looking for:

We seek candidates who embody our TFS values of integrity, discernment, respect, and engagement. The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)
• Certification as a teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.)
• Ability to teach in French (native level), and English conversation skills (Level B2 or higher)
• Good knowledge of the French curriculum
• Experience as a homeroom teacher
• Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Ontarian programs is an asset
• Teacher certification from the French Ministry of Education is an asset
