Thriftys Family of Brands is currently looking for a Jr. Graphic Designer for our Head Office location.

What you need to be successful as a Jr. Graphic Designer with Thriftys:

1. Assist with research, help conceptualize, design, and implement typography and colour theory for in-store and digital images.
2. Be an innovative thinker, not afraid to offer creative ideas and solutions; use industry research and trends to support your work.
3. Assist with the production of all in-store images, seasonal and promotional marketing materials, price points, packaging, training and recruiting material, advertisements, and digital collateral.
4. Follow and replicate brand standards; edit and proofread in-store and digital designs to ensure accuracy; assist with layout of presentations, mockups, and other materials.
5. Collaborate and assist in brainstorming for campaigns, taglines, and design concepts; provide feedback on photo shoot campaign images.
6. Maintain an archive of seasonal creative job files; manage uploading print-ready files to vendors and oversee press approvals; work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.

Other Qualifications:

1. Post-secondary education in Graphic Design.
2. Knowledge of Adobe software (including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), QuarkXPress, and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset.
3. Business knowledge and awareness of consumer trends.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
