We’re looking for a Jr. Accountant who thrives on accuracy, handles invoices and reimbursements with ease, and helps keep our financials running like clockwork. You’ll take care of the numbers — we’ve got the team and the tools. Let’s balance the books together!

Highlights of this opportunity:

  • Receive, compile, code and sort documents related to Accounts Payable (A/P) and Receivable (A/R) for input into the financial data processing systems;
  • Verify and post details of A/P and A/R transactions into the financial data processing system and total accounts to ledgers or spreadsheets and databases;
  • Maintain and record all incoming invoices and payments received and the status of each transaction within the processing system, and seek the necessary approvals;
  • Process employee reimbursements (including urgent payment requests);
  • Prepare A/P and A/R month and year-end reports, and review for accuracy;
  • Ensure the secure handling and storage of confidential documents.

Your accomplishments and experience include:

  • A diploma/certificate in a relevant discipline combined with proven relevant experience;
  • Proficiency with Internet, e-mail, and other business-related computer software is required;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting system would be an asset;
  • Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is an asset.
