The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision, and evaluation of the students.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred
• Some experience working with children in an organized setting preferred
• Preference will be given to those with NVCI training
• Experience working with Indigenous communities, with first-hand knowledge of Indigenous cultures, practices, and issues is an asset
• Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an asset
• Ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care
