Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be required to perform fabrication and repairs by welding, brazing, and cutting metal using gas and electric welding equipment. This is a rotating day shift position that includes weekends and 12-hour days.

What you will do:
  • Weld, fabricate, and cut to build, maintain and repair equipment
  • Work safely in a mining environment and follow the procedures and policies that are in place
  • Participate in safety meetings and inspections, and follow standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge working with fiberglass
  • Knowledge working with Sklar pipe
  • CWB certified all position and asset Mig and SMAW
  • 2” pressure ticket an asset
  • Welding Stainless Steel piping
  • Be able to read detailed drawings
  • Experience working on structural steel in the shop and in the field
What you will bring:
  • A valid Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Certificate of Journeyperson Status (Red Seal) as a Welder
  • Positive safety behaviour and a safety mindset
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment as well as independently
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
  • Willingness to learn and gain required knowledge and experience through training
