Job summary

A regional energy services company in Estevan is seeking a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket and be able to read blueprints. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff and performing various installation tasks. This position requires physical stamina and willingness to travel to client sites. A competitive salary and Monday to Friday work schedule are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Assemble piping and valves.
  • Mentor and provide guidance for junior staff.
  • Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Remove and replace worn components.

Job description
Summary

Our pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial production and processing systems.

POSITION DETAILS

  • This position will be based out of our shop in Estevan
  • Monday-Friday shift
  • Candidates must be willing to travel or relocate at their own expense
  • No LOA or travel allowance provided

Core Accountabilities

  • Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.)
  • Assemble piping and valves
  • Mentor and provide guidance for junior staff
  • Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required shape
  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Must possess a valid Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket issued by the appropriate provincial or federal authority

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
