Description

We are seeking experienced Instrumentation Technicians or those with an active apprenticeship with live plant experience. Our Fort McMurray Industrial projects are stable and long-term, allowing you to plan for your future, whether that be saving for your child’s education or your next amazing vacation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings and follow code specifications and procedures.
  • Installation of instrumentation tubing, inspecting, testing, and fault finding.
  • Installation of instruments, hoses, and fabrication.
  • Calibration of components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Journeypersons must be willing to act as a mentor to apprentices.

Qualifications:

  • Have a Journeyperson Instrumentation certification or be a registered apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Experience working on a construction project in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Able to successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
  • Successful candidates will require Common Safety Orientation or Basic Safety Orientation.

Work Conditions:

  • 14 days on and 7 days off rotational shift working 10 hour days.
  • Camp-based accommodations provided for non-local candidates.
  • Extended Health & Wellness Benefits provided by CLAC Alberta.
  • Travel Allowance for non-locals is provided; however, candidates are responsible for arranging their own flights/transportation to and from camp.
