Rates & Premiums
  • Base hourly rate: $49/hour
  • Skilled trades premium: $3/hour (Fox Creek, Edson, Hinton, Whitecourt)
  • Skilled trades premium: $5/hour (Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview)
  • Travel pay (as required)
  • Stand-by pay

Work Conditions
  • Work is based in your home shop, with occasional travel to field operations in your locale
  • On-call duties may be required as Ledcor responds to changing weather conditions

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair of plows/sanding trucks, loaders, light support gear and heavy construction equipment
  • Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Attend service calls in the field as required
  • Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
  • Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
Qualifications
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off-Road)
  • 3rd or 4th year registered Apprentice with a journeyperson on-road ticket
  • Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset
  • CVIP mechanic license is an asset
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
