Finning Canada is seeking field-experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics with Gas Compression experience to support our customers in and around Grande Prairie and NWT. The Gas Compression Technician is responsible for repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators, and attachments in the field.

Job Description:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, overhaul, and repair equipment related to Gas Compression & Energy Power Generation: natural gas & diesel engines, compressors, generators, and attachments
- Maintain Finning's Customer Service commitments, interact with customers, sales support, and team members
- Support on-site safety requirements
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal)
- Experience with all makes of Gas Compression equipment (G3500/G3600 A4 is an asset)
- Dedication to safety and completion or progress in Finning S-Level courses
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with commissioning and gas compression is an asset
- Ability to be fit tested and wear a respirator
- Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience are assets
- Previous field service experience with natural gas engines and compressors is preferred
- Experience with non-Caterpillar brands (Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins, etc.) is recognized as an asset
- Travel throughout Alberta and NWT required; preferred locations include Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, and Grande Prairie
- Primarily field-based role; training in gas compression is an asset
