Job summary

Pacific Western Transportation is seeking experienced Journeyperson Mechanics (Heavy Duty, Automotive, Truck and Transport) to join our Humboldt operation. We offer a $3,000 hiring bonus and a competitive wage of $45.00 per hour on a Monday–Friday day shift.

The role includes ongoing maintenance, responding to breakdowns, supervising apprentices, and ensuring thorough documentation and inspections; tool and boot allowances are provided annually.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket in Heavy Duty/Automotive/Truck and Transport.
• 2–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Safety inspection certification through SGI desired.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills; computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
• Respond to breakdowns
• Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities
• Perform Government Inspections
• Complete all documentation associated with mechanical repairs of equipment
• Supervision of Apprentice Mechanics
• Suggest areas for additional training and assist with training of Apprentice Mechanics

SOUTHLAND is currently offering a $3,000 hiring bonus! You must be a licensed Journeyperson Mechanic to qualify. Bonus will be paid out following six months of continuous employment.
