Position Overview

SOUTHLAND is expanding routes throughout the Regional Municipality of Halifax for 2025–2026 and is hiring multiple Mechanics. This role involves maintaining a fleet of school buses in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, with opportunities for professional growth and work-life balance.

Shifts Available

Day shifts (7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm or 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm) and evening shifts (3 : 30 pm - 12 : 00 am).

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; class 2 license is an asset
• Pre-employment drug testing
• Clear criminal record
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Own hand tools
• Experience with gasoline and propane-powered equipment is an asset
