Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited in Lanigan, SK, is seeking a Journeyperson Industrial or Heavy Duty Mechanic for an on-site full-time role. The candidate will inspect, diagnose, repair, and install plant equipment, while maintaining safety and performing preventive maintenance.

The position requires a Red Seal certification and a Grade 12, with a 4-5-5-4 day/night rotation. Industrial field experience is an asset; strong safety and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Certificate of Journeyperson Status (Red Seal) as an Industrial Mechanic or a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Ability to work 4-5-5-4 Days and Nights rotation, commute shift.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
• Positive safety behavior and safety leadership.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in the field or shop environment.
• Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment as well as independently.
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
• Stable work record.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in a mining environment and follow procedures and policies.
• Plan, layout, and determine work procedure and required tools for assigned work.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and report deficiencies.
• Maintain housekeeping and keep tools in good state of repair.
• Play a critical role in safety for you and others.
• Complete training as required.
• Work in the field, mine, or shop as required.
• Operate equipment such as personnel carriers, lube trucks, forklifts, cranes in the mine.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• May be required to work shift work and overtime.
