Finning Canada in Kamloops, BC is seeking a Journeyperson Helper to support our industry-leading team. You will assist Journeyperson Mechanics, perform general shop duties, fuel, clean, and help with installations and maintenance, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with ability to follow directions in a team setting.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Past maintenance shop experience and forklift certification are assets.

Responsibilities

• General clean up of shop, yard and machines.
• Assist Journeyperson Mechanics as required.
• Aid Mechanics with removal/installation of guards and steaming.
• Fuel machines.
• Perform minor servicing (oil changes).
• Attach maintenance.
• General service shop duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• General clean up of shop, yard and machines

Skills and Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
• Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assets

Important Information:

• This position is based in Kamloops, BC on a 7x7 rotation. (Dayshift)
• Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
