Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair of heavy construction and maintenance equipment such as plow/sanding trucks, loaders, and light support gear
  • Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
  • Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
Qualifications:
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off-Road)
  • Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset
  • CVIP mechanic license is an asset
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
  • Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams
  • Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Work Conditions:
  • Work is based in various locations across Alberta, with occasional travel to field operations
  • Preference may be given to local applicants due to the nature of the work
  • As Ledcor responds to changing weather conditions, some on-call duties may be required
  • Comprehensive benefits provided through CLAC, including Health, Dental, RSP, and Pension
Rates & Premiums:
  • Base hourly rate of $46.18/hour
  • Skilled trade premium of $3/hour in locations like Fox Creek, Valleyview, Hinton, Whitecourt
  • Skilled trade premium of $5/hour in the Grande Prairie region
