Job summary

Strike Group seeks Journeyperson Industrial Electricians to install, test, and maintain electrical systems for climate control, security, lighting, power, and communications. Our Western Canada shops support local and site projects, with Fly-In Fly-Out 14/7 shifts and a strong culture of safety and conduct.

Candidates must hold a Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate and have industrial experience. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and adherence to Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certificate.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must have previous industrial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
  • Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices

With shops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon, the E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects located throughout Western Canada.
