The role:

Lafarge is hiring Formwork Carpenters for our Vancouver Infrastructure operations. This opportunity is in Burnaby, where we are constructing a new maintenance operations structure for our partners. This is expected to be a 2-3 years project, full-time, and non-seasonal. We are seeking certified Carpenters with concrete formwork experience to join us on this project.

Responsibilities

1. Heavy Civil - Industrial, Infrastructure, and Roadwork Construction
2. Forming, Stripping, Placing of Lafarge Ready-Mix Concrete
3. Measure, cut, and assemble in accordance to the specifications provided
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints needed for concrete forms
5. Assist other carpenters with the assembly of framework
6. Prepare layouts of forms from drawings that are provided

Qualifications

1. Must have ability to travel to multiple worksite locations
2. Journeyman to Red Seal certification is considered an asset
3. Experience in concrete finishing, sacking and pouring is considered an asset
4. Experience preferably with formwork and on commercial or industrial projects.
5. Team Player and safety orientated
6. Communicates well with others and to their superiors
7. CSTS-09 and other safety certificates are considered assets.

1. Labourer ( Associate ) $27-$29
2. Helper ( Support Technician ) $30-$35
3. Carpenter ( Unticketed ) $32-$36.50
4. Journeyperson/Red Seal ( Ticketed ) $38
