Position: Journeyperson & Apprentice Carpenters - Dawson Creek Hospital

We are currently accepting resumes for future opportunities for Carpenters to join the team at the Dawson Creek Hospital Project.

Responsibilities
  1. Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts.
  2. Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures.
  3. Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, utilizing appropriate math skills.
  4. Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and the correct size, shape, and location.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice.
  2. Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
  3. Fall Protection and Confined Space training is an asset.
  4. Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices.
  5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  6. Ability to identify safety compliance and regulatory issues.
