Job summary

Dalcon Constructors Ltd is seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Millwrights for multiple projects across Eastern and Northern Ontario, including Sault Ste. Marie. The base wage is $44.13 per hour, per the Collective Agreement.

Schedules may vary (5/2, 10/4, or 14/7) and travel allowances are available for those who qualify. As a Millwright, you will gain hands-on scope with municipal water/wastewater and live plant work, hoisting and rigging, rotating equipment, and equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Experience as journeyperson or apprentice millwright.
• Municipal water/wastewater and live plant experience.
• Hoisting and rigging experience.
• Rotating equipment exposure.
• Equipment installations experience.
• Ability to wear a respirator when required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team or alone.
• Safety conscious and adherent to safety processes.
• Meet qualification and training requirements for specific work conditions.
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Mine site experience.
• Experience operating construction equipment (e.g., telehandler) is an asset.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Dalcon Constructors Ltd is seeking experienced Journeyperson and Apprentice Millwrights for multiple projects across Eastern, and Northern Ontario

Work Conditions & Remuneration

• Journeyperson base wage: $44.13, as per the Collective Agreement
• Schedule: can vary from 5/2, 10/4, or 14/7
• Daily and rotational travel allowances available for those who qualify
• Must have reliable transportation
• Overtime may be required

As a Millwright for Dalcon Constructors Ltd, you will contribute to our team by:

• Having municipal water/wastewater experience and live plant experience
• Having hoisting and rigging experience
• Having experience working with rotating equipment
• Experience with equipment installations
• Being able to wear a personal respirator when required
• Demonstrating excellent communication skills
• Being able to work in a team or alone
• Taking direction and following established work processes
• Being safety conscious and adhering to all Dalcon safety processes and policies
• Meeting qualification and training requirements based on specific work conditions
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Having experience working on a mine site
• Having experience operating construction equipment (i.e., telehandler), will be considered an asset
• Strength to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds, from the ground to above head
• Other qualifications may be required
