Qualifications

  • DZ license minimum (AZ preferred).
  • 25kV Rubber Glove certification required.
  • Experience in maintenance and construction of distribution lines.

  • Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment.
  • Follow instructions and procedures assigned by the Foreman.

Job description

Valard Construction LP is a premier powerline contractor, serving clients in both public & private sectors. We offer construction services in overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

Valard Construction LP is seeking qualified Red Seal Journeymen Powerline Technician to join our team at Southwestern Ontario (London, Chatham, Windsor) . We are looking for self-motivated, team player, dedicated individuals who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard’s projects.

Requirements

  • DZ license minimum, preference given to AZ license.
  • 25kV Rubber Glove.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Familiar with operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance and construction of distribution lines, coupled with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Willing to travel and work extended hours.
  • Safety oriented.
  • Familiar with climbing both wood and steel structures.
  • Experience / training in craning and rigging.
  • All other related duties as assigned by the Foreman or Senior Valard Team member.
  • Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
  • Local to Southern Ontario (preferred).
