Qualifications

W.F. Botkin is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing various large equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers, loaders, rock trucks, graders, etc.

Job Duties:
Inspect, repair and adjust gasoline and diesel-powered units
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service
Operate automotive servicing and diagnostic equipment
Installation of new & added-on equipment
Electrical & hydraulic troubleshooting & diagnostics
Repair cooling & lubrication systems
Install & align engines and machinery
Repair mechanical transmissions and differentials
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Driving service truck to various locations to perform inspects, maintenance, and repairs on site
Clean, lubricate & perform other maintenance work
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology & repair techniques

Required Experience:
2- 4 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment
Valid drivers license with the ability to get to and from work; clean drivers abstract
Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong internal drive to learn and develop future skill sets
Scheduling flexibility as overtime and weekend work may be required
Steel-toe safety boots are required
