Job summary

WS & Company Ltd. in Calgary is seeking an Automotive Tire and Service Technician for permanent full-time employment at our garage.

The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing automotive mechanical systems, testing and road testing vehicles, and advising customers on maintenance needs. Candidates should hold Tire, wheel and rim mechanic certification, and Automotive Service Technician trades for fuel/electrical and steering/suspension/brakes, plus WHMIS.

Qualifications

• Tire, wheel and rim mechanic certification is required.
• Automotive Service Technician trade certifications for fuel/electrical, and steering/suspension/brakes are required.
• WHMIS certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine repair or replacement.
• Discuss work with supervisor and inspect mechanical units to locate faults.
• Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units and components.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Coach and instruct apprentices
