Join Hall Constructors as a Journeyman Welder!

The Journeyman Welder contributes to the overall organization by maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the fleet of heavy-duty and support equipment for The Hall Group of Companies. The role primarily involves close interactions with the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine health and availability.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Repairing heavy equipment structural damage
  • Repairing and rebuilding heavy equipment attachments such as buckets and rippers
  • Welding engineered lifting points according to weld procedure specifications
  • Fabricating various items to drawing specifications
  • Moving attachments and fabricated items with a forklift or overhead crane

You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification
  • CWB certification in FCAW and SMAW

Technical Skills:

  • Experience reading engineered drawings, identifying weld symbols, and fabricating to drawing specifications
  • Proficiency with shop tooling such as bandsaws, drill presses, torches, mag drills, etc.

Assets:

  • Experience repairing heavy equipment (e.g., heavy gouging, 1/16" wire)
  • Experience rigging and using overhead cranes

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and dedication in all tasks
  • Effective communication and active listening
  • Prompt and effective response to maintenance challenges
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic environment
