Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Journeyman Welders and Welding Apprentices who are willing to work throughout Western Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards
  • Out of position welding (SMAW)
  • Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints
  • Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)
  • General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.)
  • Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings
  • Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered
  • Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs
  • The work may require you to enter confined spaces
  • General jobsite support
Qualifications
  • Punctual attendance is a requirement
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications
  • Must successfully complete a welder’s qualification test (ASME IX)
  • Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day
  • Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and safe work environment
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Valid Journeyman Ticket or valid Apprenticeship documentation
  • Interprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an asset
  • CWB Ticket all position SMAW
  • Valid B-Pressure ticket is an asset
  • Employment is contingent on successful completion of welder’s qualification test (ASME IX)
Safety Ticket Requirements
  • H2S Alive or Awareness
  • Confined Space Entry and / or Rescue
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Fall protection (an asset)
  • CSA Steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.

Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
