Pay Details

• Journeyman rate $53.91/hr
• $1,000 monthly, Northern Living Allowance

Schedule

• 1 week on, 1 week off
• 6:00pm to 6:00am (Night Shift)

Job Details

• Safe and professional work practices are mandatory
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and communications, and to write job reports, work order summaries, and other records
• Ability to work effectively in a team, exercise good judgment, and conduct oneself professionally
• Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical problems

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial trailers
• Diagnose and fault trace complex systems/issues
• Read and understand wiring diagrams
• Perform preventative maintenance on tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, electrical systems, suspension, etc.
• Follow safe work procedures and use proper PPE
• Ensure safety and compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

• Journeyman Trailer Mechanic
• CVIP Certification is an asset
• Two years of verifiable mechanic experience
• Operation of hand and air tools
• Physically fit and reasonably strong to perform duties
• Basic computer skills and understanding of business systems are desirable
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Positive work ethic and attitude
