Black & McDonald is seeking a Journeyman Service Plumber to join our Service Division in Regina, SK. If you are hands-on, customer service-oriented, and technically inclined, this position offers a solid foundation for your career. The Service Technician reports directly to the Service Supervisor.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, positive attitude, and passion for the trade. Skills required include proficiency in pipe joining methods, use of industry tools, and interpreting technical literature. The role may require long hours and lifting heavy loads.

We are committed to continuous improvement and will provide necessary training to ensure safety and support career development.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment (e.g., Boilers, Pumps, Furnaces, Hot Water Tanks, etc.).
  2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair systems.
  3. Organize and execute small re-pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
  4. Complete service reports and documentation via mobile applications.
  5. Prepare labor and material estimates.
  6. Work independently or in teams to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  8. Participate in rotating 24/7 emergency on-call support.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Plumbing Trade Qualification
  • B-Gas Certification
  • Cross Connection Control Certification
  • Additional certifications (A-Gas, WHIMIS, etc.) are assets.
  • Relevant industry experience required; however, candidates with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn may be considered.
Skills and Abilities
  • Valid Class 5 SK Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, mobile apps)
