Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitters to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton, AB, working on a project with several properties across the Edmonton area.

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies.
• Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs.
• Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines.
• Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule.
• Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects.
• Replace hot water tanks and furnaces (40,000 & 60,000 BTU).
• Occasionally install tiles around bathtubs or sinks.
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
• Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements.
• Supervisory roles and responsibilities may also be delegated as necessary, based on customer requirements and operational necessity.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required.
• Class B Gas Fitter License is required.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
