Job summary

Stuart Olson Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for a maintenance role at a client site in Red Deer, AB. The position offers a steady 4 days on, 3 days off schedule with 10-hour shifts and opportunities to contribute to a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates hold a Journeyman ticket or Apprentice ID, valid photo ID, and site-specific CSTS certifications including H2S awareness. Expect demanding physical work with strict safety practices and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Pipefitter ticket or Apprentice ID required.
• Valid government-issued photo ID required.
• CSTS 2020 / CSO / CSTS 09 site-specific certification.
• H2S Alive or H2S Awareness required.
• Fall Protection certification required.
• Confined Space Entry Monitor certification required.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals or fuel in processes.
• Maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies with supports.
• Keep tools, work area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Read and interpret client/company fabrication drawings and specs.
• Keep work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Return tools and equipment to job boxes and tool cribs.
• Report incidents including near-misses and injuries.
• Assist in safe work practices and procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
