Qualifications

Amsted Automotive, London, Ontario, is seeking a Journeyman Millwright for the Midnight shift. The role involves repairing, adjusting, maintaining, and installing various types of production equipment.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair, adjust, maintain, and install production equipment
  • Record and report as required
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including presses, CNC machines, lathes, flow forming, and overhead cranes
  • Install, maintain, and repair office and plant fixtures and equipment
  • Work according to standards and job documentation
  • Participate in team activities and prioritize safety and deadlines
  • Maintain tracking data for equipment
  • Complete tasks accurately and safely, adhering to regulations
  • Engage in company programs like 5S, waste elimination, and training
  • Create and update training matrices
  • Support company values and team efforts
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safety and operational rules
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical, and blueprints
  • Experience with stamping presses and related machinery
  • Welding skills (MIG/Arc) and torch use
  • Minimum 3 years in an industrial environment
  • Understanding of ISO/TS16949, ISO14001, and Q1 standards
  • Ability to fabricate support items for equipment uptime
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Results-oriented with leadership abilities
  • Adaptability to changing environments
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage conflicts
