Join our team as a Journeyman Millwright on a rotating 12-hour shift. Compensation: $47.84 CAD per hour. We offer a comprehensive pension package, including pension contributions after the probation period, and a sign-on bonus of $1,800 CAD.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Identify and resolve issues in machinery, equipment, or processes to ensure smooth production
• Maintain, repair, and overhaul plant equipment, buildings, and grounds
• Respond promptly to trouble calls from shift supervisors and operators/technicians
• Assist in maintaining plant utilities alongside Operating Engineers
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment
• Apply corrective actions to improve reliability
• Willingness to train in airborne ultrasound and thermography
• Follow directions from supervisors and coworkers
• Participate in project work, including design, installation, and commissioning
• Keep accurate records of logs, inspections, and readings
• Ensure effective communication during shift changes
• Seek continuous improvement in tasks
• Contribute to process improvement teams
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Legal authorization to work in Canada for Cargill
• Minimum age of 18 years
• High School diploma or equivalent
• BC/Interprovincial Trade Certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, climbing, valve operations, shoveling, and hammering
• Experience working in confined spaces
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Capability to work in extreme temperatures
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts
• Skills in welding, rigging, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps, piping, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
